The Pesky Pelican, located in the western part of St. Pete, may be off the beaten path, but it is on the Pinellas Trail and is bike friendly.  Owners Dan and his daughter Danielle are from St. Louis, Mo and bring a taste of St. Louis to St. Pete.  Known for their small-batch, house brewed beer, Dan has been brewing beer for 20 years and is involved in the local brewing community.  Danielle loves to cook.  Together they had plans to open a brew pub and when a restaurant called McNally's became available in their very own neighborhood, they bought them in 2016.

For Bike Riders: here's the plan:  Let's meet at the club house parking lot by the tennis courts of PYCC at 11am Promptly! We will leave via the front gate and cross Gulfport Blvd.  We will turn onto 60th Street and continue to the entrance of the Pinellas Trail.  There we will turn left on the trail will bike ride headed to Tyrone Shopping Mall and pass the Pesky Pelican for a little longer ride.  Then we will turn around and ride back, stopping at the Pesky Pelican for lunch.   After lunch we will return the same way we came.   Approximately 8 to 9 miles ride round trip.  Wear comfortable clothes, bring water, fill the tires, bring a lock.   Return to PYCC parking lot approx. 2pm.  

For Lunch Goers:  Meet at 11:45 to 12 noon at Pesky Pelican, 923 72nd St N., St Petersburg.    Plenty of parking in front.
