Please join us as we gather and celebrate Cinco de Mayo!

Cinco do Mayo is actually the anniversary of Mexico's victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862, and not Mexican Independence Day as many of us mistakenly believe. So enough for the history lesson and onto the party!

We will gather at Suzie and Brian Schmitz's cantina on Saturday, May 7th at 6PM for margaritas, sangria and a Mexican themed feast (address will be provided in reminder email).  Yes, we know that Cinco de Mayo translates to May 5th, but we will be celebrating on May 7th.  And yes, we know the Kentucky Derby is run that day and that some of you may be celebrating that so please stop over after the race.

Margaritas, sangria, beer and sombreros will be provided.  You bring the rest!

Please bring any other beverages you would like and a Mexican themed snack to share.  Think taco fixings including various meat or seafood fillings, quesadillas, burritos, enchiladas, pork carnitas, queso dip, guacamole, chili, street corn salad, avocado salad, taco salad, Mexican lasagna, stuffed jalapenos, Mexican casserole, pico de gallo, phyllo cup tacos, seven layer dip, flan, churros, Mexican brownies and tres leche.

Please indicate when you register for the event what you are thinking about bringing.  we will monitor your responses to make sure we don't have too many duplicates.
