Are you interested in Florida history?  Lets find out what it was like to live in Florida almost 100 years ago!

If you have ever wondered about what it was like to live in Florida during prohibition, when the bridges and the railroads were being completed and everybody was encouraged “for their health” to retire to Florida, even to purchase some swamp land – then this narrative (by a loquacious widow) journey into another time period is found to be fascinating, entertaining and thought-provoking.

This month’s program is entitled: Living in the Sunshine: Mrs. Titbit in 1925

This performance will take place live in the Marly room at the MFA. To ensure the health and safety of our visitors and staff, face masks are required while inside the museum at all times and refreshments will not be served. Capacity for this event will be limited and advanced registration is required.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors.  Or if you are a member of the Museum of Fine Arts this event is included in the membership fee.  A membership costs $60.

Please purchase your tickets by clicking on this link:  Coffee Talks with Nan Colton: Living in the Sunshine: Mrs. Titbit in 1925 - Museum of Fine Arts St Petersburg | Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg (mfastpete.org)

Please buy your ticket as soon as you know you would like to go, because these events are popular and fill up fast! There is usually a line for these events so get there a bit earlier to ensure a good seat.

Registering for this event on the PYCC Neighbors and Newcomers site is not a ticket for admission.  You must purchase a ticket directly from the museum and then register on our website for the event.

For those interested in carpooling, we will be leaving from the PYCC parking lot next to the tennis courts at 9:00 to allow for parking and to get a good seat for the show.

Lunch afterwards  at Bella Brava.  Reservations are for 12:15.  BellaBrava is a 2 minute walk from the museum.  Click here for more information about the restaurant:  Casual Italian Cuisine - BellaBrava
