So to celebrate Labor Day we thought it would be fun to do bbq this month. Dr. BBQ is a cool place in the Edge District in downtown St. Petersburg that opened in September of 2018. The doctor in Dr. BBQ is Ray Lampe, He entered the BBQ world in 1982 and since then he has won more than 400 awards, written 9 cookbooks, and has made regular appearances on the Food Network. Dr. BBQ is part of the Datz Restaurant Group.
And on the 2nd floor of Dr. BBQ, up the winding staircase, is Burnt Ends Tiki bar. What a combo! a Bay area, the full-service restaurant sizzles with global flavors. Dr. BBQ created Dinner reservation is for 6:30 PM, but if you have time, let's meet at the tiki bar for a pre-dinner cocktail.
They have their own free parking lot behind the restaurant. Enter off of 1st Ave. S before you get to the entrance of the restaurant. It is a gravel lot.

Burnt Ends Tiki Bar – A Datz Restaurant Group concept in coordination with Dr. BBQ
Our typical outing is dinner starting at 6pm -6:30 pm with cocktails at the bar for those who want to go earlier; but of course this is subject to change depending upon available reservation times at each restaurant. We request separate checks and so far have not had any problems with restaurants accommodating this request.
Registration due by the Sunday before. Limited to 1 table of 20 people for now, we may add more tables; a waiting list will be established and you will be notified by email if someone cancels and you move up.
